Pros

- There's genuine sense of purpose knowing my work directly helps patients and advances medical research. - The perfect blend of scientific rigor and cutting-edge technology. I get to learn and grow alongside some of the brightest minds in the field! - The work culture is flexible and trusting, allowing me to work independently and take ownership of my projects. - “Be Real, Be You” - It's truly encouraged to bring your authentic self to work, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Cons

- Expect some growing pains, including occasional disorganization, unclear processes, and rapid changes. We’re still evolving, and things can sometimes be a little chaotic. - Roles and responsibilities can evolve quickly, requiring flexibility and adaptability. Not everything is always clearly defined, which can lead to uncertainty at times. Embrace the ability to adapt and be comfortable with a bit of ambiguity.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review here. It sounds like you're thriving at PicnicHealth, as an employee and human with interests inside and outside of work. That's what we hope all PicnicHealth team members get when they work with us! And yeah - I hear you on the changing work environment. As a growing early stage company, changes - and the related stages of "figuring things out" - are a very real part of what we sign up for. Thanks for staying along for the ride!

Pros

Really enjoyed my coworkers, they were super flexible on account of being fully remote, and the work was interesting

Cons

Got laid off along with around 1/4th or 1/5th of the company. They did not do it in a very professional manner. Locked me out of all accounts at 9am. Supposedly they sent an email to my personal account with some information about the layoffs but I did not receive it, so I didn't know what was going on until I got a meeting invite titled "Exit Meeting" to my personal email to meet with the CTO in 10 minutes. I also never got the opportunity to talk to my manager. I'm sure it is difficult to do layoffs as a remote company in general, but they did not handle it particularly well.

Thank you for your review. Your feedback is fair - both in terms of what you appreciated about working at Picnic, and what you didn't, given your specific experience during the layoff.
