Pros

- Exciting tech, great initial vision, great co-workers, remote work

Cons

- Ever growing exec team - with limited healthcare experience, those with healthcare experience primarily come from the same companies (group think) - Constantly pivoting strategy without clear strategic vision/roadmap (are we a Patient Product, RWE company, Data company, CRO?) means lack of clear direction for what should be worked on and rolled out to customers - Uneven distribution of workload and unclear paths for growth - lots of skip level hiring - becoming a company of thinkers vs doers

Pros

Really enjoyed my coworkers, they were super flexible on account of being fully remote, and the work was interesting

Cons

Got laid off along with around 1/4th or 1/5th of the company. They did not do it in a very professional manner. Locked me out of all accounts at 9am. Supposedly they sent an email to my personal account with some information about the layoffs but I did not receive it, so I didn't know what was going on until I got a meeting invite titled "Exit Meeting" to my personal email to meet with the CTO in 10 minutes. I also never got the opportunity to talk to my manager. I'm sure it is difficult to do layoffs as a remote company in general, but they did not handle it particularly well.

Thank you for your review. Your feedback is fair - both in terms of what you appreciated about working at Picnic, and what you didn't, given your specific experience during the layoff.
