Pros
Benefits were decent. Allowed to roll over 1 week yearly of vacation time. There are good people that work at Pike, people that try to do the right thing and treat their crew with respect. If you have a family, know that you are on call 24/7/365, you will miss important events like Chrismas, your kids first steps etc.
Cons
Pike is known for screwing their employess at any given chance. Don't waste your time showing dedication to them, becuase at the end of the day, they do not care about anyone. For all you Pike guys still working that may see this, when you decide to quit, make sure you cash your vacation time out ahead of time. Normally when you put in a notice, they tell you to go ahead and go home they don't need you which screws you out of your vacation time because you were fired. Meanwhile they are running many crews with only 3 men but they say "We will have a full crew next week". LIES LIES LIES! Management care only about the $$$. Storm work overtime does not begin until you have worked your regular 40, while other companies start overtime when you roll out. Trucks break down constantly! Not much opportunity to advance.
