Pros
Small store means you have a small business feel with your boss and coworkers. Repeat customers makes it very easy to build relationships with customers. Learning a skill such as pool chemistry is a unique to this type of job. Reasonable hours along as you don't mind working at least one day on the weekend.
Cons
If you don't like the smell of pool chemicals, especially chlorine, you won't like being in the store. Not much upward movement since it's a franchised business. Small staff and store can be nice but one or two bad coworkers or bad boss can ruin the workplace.
