Pros
Great people to work with at local level.
Cons
Poor, outdated management methods from the top down. "Good ole boy" system of promotion and don't expect to come into the company at a level commensurate with your experience, knowledge, skills, or abilities. It seems to be management expectation to start people far below what they are capable of. There is no apparent reason for this, it just seems that they think it takes time to learn their processes or industry, but it doesn't take anywhere near that much time. It's nowhere near as complex as they make it out to be. Most of them seem to have spent their entire career in this industry and have nothing to compare it to so they tend to overcomplicate everything rather than simplify it. They don't practice what they preach in terms of respect for people, diversity, or inclusion. There is no empowerment of employees and it's completely hierarchical. You can't make any decisions without getting someone's permission, and even then it's usually going to be their way regardless.
