Pros
IF you have an advanced degree, you get decent pay and benefits. Otherwise, nope.
Cons
Pretty much everything else is a con. I've worked 113 hours in one week before during peak season and it went completely unappreciated. Never mind its a complete hypocrisy of being unsafe to work that much, but that's how it works. Say one thing and do another. They have a set of core values and live saving rules that are pretty much ignored by management. There is no chance of advancement unless you know someone (old friends, wives, frat brothers, etc.). Nepotism has occurred twice in my office while ignoring other qualified candidates, but there is not much you can do about it as you risk your job if you speak up. There is zero accountability. If someone messes up, it's ignored and sweep under the rug even if it violates their written life saving rules.
