Pros

Great 401K match, generally nice people

Cons

Firm-wide compensation has declined meaningfully in recent years; Management is concentrated in Minneapolis and is out of touch with what is happening in New York; nepotism is rampant and promotions/layoffs are strongly biased towards the good Minnesota folk.

Pros

It's nearly impossible to get fired. After many years, the IT department has hired a diverse team. Coworkers were intelligent and ethical.

Cons

Unusual that, until after Covid, the IT department was about 95% Caucasian, but now the diversity seems to be due to the ability to lower salaries, and worsen work/life balance. Management will only promote yes-people, or hire from the outside. It's akin to working in IT in 1990s, there is little process or structure. Laptops weren't given to IT until after Covid (yes you read that right), and when they were handed out, they were the used laptops from revenue generating departments that had been upgraded. It was a very chaotic environment.
