      Pros

      The culture at Piper Sandler is very health for a financial institution, attributed to the tenure of many employees and the quality of people Piper Sandler employs: intelligent, team-oriented, ethical, and hard working individuals. There is great accessibility to senior leaders at the firm. In addition, they genuinely care about young professionals' career and personal development. I feel challenged and pushed to bring my best each and every day while being provided with the tools to succeed. Overall, I am very grateful for the opportunity to work at Piper Sandler with incredible colleagues. I have felt supported throughout my time at the firm.

      Pros

      It's nearly impossible to get fired. After many years, the IT department has hired a diverse team. Coworkers were intelligent and ethical.

      Cons

      Unusual that, until after Covid, the IT department was about 95% Caucasian, but now the diversity seems to be due to the ability to lower salaries, and worsen work/life balance. Management will only promote yes-people, or hire from the outside. It's akin to working in IT in 1990s, there is little process or structure. Laptops weren't given to IT until after Covid (yes you read that right), and when they were handed out, they were the used laptops from revenue generating departments that had been upgraded. It was a very chaotic environment.
