A big, old, company - Software Architect Pitney Bowes Employee Review

Pros

Total compensation is competitive. Good work-life balance, including strong support for flexible work arrangements up to and including working from home full-time. While things at a big corp can change quickly, currently, job stability is high. Haven't been any layoffs in several years, and I don't see any on the horizon. If you want somewhere that doesn't require you to grow, keep your head down, and get paid, this could be the place for you.

Cons

If you want to make a big contribution to technology, and work with the brightest, most energetic people, look elsewhere. As a company trying to make the transition to a tech firm, change is non-existent or glacial. PB is best at attracting and retaining mediocre talent. As another reviewer mentions, there are many disconnected silos, partially the result of many botched acquisitions over the years.
