Pros

Office job. AC year round, no need to physically sweat due to hard labor

Cons

Once venture capitalism took over, all that matters is GREEN LINE GO UP, year over year. And so, cuts had to be made. Office parties shrunk. First it was family only for yearly office parties. Then it was the prize cuts. Less snacks, less free food for holidays. Sure, that's fine, I guess. Then come the extra work for zero extra pay. Not enough bodies, so you outsource parts of the company. Leadership in other companies also don't like dealing with outsourced staff (whether direct or indirect), so that's a blunder. Only ones making more money are top level. Great. I'm happy for you. Short term gains. Venture capitalism is happy. Unsustainable long term at the expense of employees and customers.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear your experience with PlanSource was not positive. Like any growing business, we've had to look at our expenses more closely since our ownership changed hands. This often means change, and changes can be difficult. However, we are always looking for ways to create a meaningful experience for our employees - through things like PlanSource Cares, and investing in ongoing training and development. We're proud of what we have achieved over the past 3 years and we've become profitable and increased our customer retention and satisfaction scores. Additionally, we are continuing to find ways to address employees' concerns on workload - like reviewing our staffing plans, finding ways to be more efficient through new tools, and backfilling key roles. We're proud of our product and glad you think so as well, and we're excited about the opportunity to continue to grow PlanSource.

Exciting company culture and fast paced. Management wants their employees to succeed and thrive.

Cons

Some leadership changes towards the end of my work there, but it seems like that has been smoothed out.

Pros

Remote or Hybrid work schedule, if you live outside of the city limits. Unlimited PTO policy, but is PTO ever unlimited.

Cons

There is not much room for advancement, if you’re not connected. Most of middle management and above are not POC. All the strong POC leaders were here today, gone the next day! The staff is overworked and underpaid. Only way to receive a higher salary is to resign and reapply. I survived a few CEOs, and once this last one came in all the tenured staff were being let go. Normal, if a new Executive comes in but there people were 15+ years in. This new PlanSource does not seem as if it cares much for their employees. Most of the workload is being outsourced to India. I’ve seen good, hardworking dedicate people get axed during my time! Not sure they’re invested in retaining good talent! Definitely a swim or sink culture, You will not get much help with learning the Benefits Admin system. It’s sort of a self-guided dive in approach.
