Pros

Lots of great colleagues in multiple offices Lovely office space Good opportunities for internal progression

Cons

Changes are made so rapidly without prior knowledge to the actual teams which are affected. No transparency with leadership, decisions made behind closed doors and simply rolled out. Not enough people, so many get more work piled onto them without checking in on how the actual individuals are doing. People are no longer a focus - its numbers, numbers, numbers. Hit and miss with managers, unfortunately not all are skilled or equipped to be a manager. Empathy is a skill not many possess. Onboarding for new hires leaves a true gap which needs further improvement. many left to acquire knowledge on their own, as their teammates are overwhelmed with the tasks but still have to find the time to try and train the basics as some managers are not situated in the same country. Turn over is quite high. Culture has definitely subsided in the recent months.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to make a thorough review of Planday as a workplace and your experience working here. We are of course happy for your words on people and internal growth opportunities. We appreciate all your input on improvement areas like change management, transparency and onboarding. We see it as very important elements and we want to be better there. It is important to feel included and helped as an employee. Currently we are working intensely with our onboarding program so that we consider all new starters and their need for clarity and belonging even more. We also have an increased focus area on how to balance the level of management driven and employee driven changes. We believe it is often a matter of combining the two, that is a good way to go. Thank you again for letting us know your thoughts, Kathrine Attraction & Selection Manager

Pros

Most colleagues are friendly, some people are amazing, but most of them left to pursue better opportunities. Quite good with social events and coming up with different activities. Lunch is good. Work/life balance is ok.

Cons

In this organization, only the sales team gets praised and rewarded. Mostly, other people are underpaid, not recognized, and barely get salary increases or other benefits. Some employees, with extremely challenging jobs, long working hours, and multiple years of seniority, have insanely low pay. There are absolutely no growth opportunities. No career progression opportunities and no budget to take any courses to get certified. The management says that they are open for change and more effective processes, but when it is time to implement a new process, they start to come up with reasons why it is not a good time to do it and that we should not take away the freedom to let employees do tasks in their own, unstructured way. The workplace advertises a hybrid culture, but the department executive does not believe that any work gets done when working from home. He was always sitting by the door to look at what time people come to work and leave. Only the ones being the first ones in and last ones out are “productive”. Once, I had to defend myself to be allowed to go to the GP in the middle of the day to get antibiotics for a bacterial infection, and got questioned by the said executive whether visiting the GP "is really necessary". I am so blessed that I got out of this place.

Hello there, Thank you for sharing your candid feedback — we genuinely appreciate it, even when it's difficult to read. We are really sorry to hear that your experience left you feeling unrecognised and that the day-to-day environment felt restrictive. This is not reflective of the culture we have built at Planday, and it is not the experience we want anyone to have. We do have growth opportunities and a learning budget in place, and we are sorry these did not feel accessible or visible to you during your time with us. We are committed to continuous improvement and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your specific experience, so we can investigate and address it directly. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at alyssa.nenstiel@planday.com. Best wishes, Alyssa Nenstiel People Experience Partner at Planday
