Pros
Atlas Aircraft Center is a great place to work. I am going on 5 years and I would recommend AAC to anyone who has their A&P and wants to work at a place that is ever growing and full of different experiences. Over the years I have been able to not only work inspections on aircraft or fix line birds that have a flight in a few hours. I have also been involved with large scale STC installs involving me to both learn structural and Electrical skills. AAC also has a tire, battery, seat, and sheet metal shop. If you want to work on everything and anything, AAC is for you. AAC is also an authorized dealer for a range of major avionics like Honeywell and Garmin as a few. We also deal directly with Pilatus as we have the largest fleet of PC-12’s. All this involvement allows us to deal directly with the vendors and even help test new equipment for future STC’s. I joined AAC fresh out of A&P school. AAC offered training to match my pace and even after training I could always rely on my coworkers to help if I run across a Job I’m not familiar with. AAC also sent me to schools both in house and at different flight safety locations to learn more about the airframes I worked on and specialty skills I wanted to improve on.
Cons
I enjoy working at AAC and they are always open to improving if concerns are brought to there attention. Sometimes those improvements could take a long time to correct.
