Pros

A little over a year into my role at Planet DDS I couldn't be happier. In my role, I work with everyone from the entire exec leadership team to engineers, salespeople, implementation specialists, and product/project managers. I disagree with some of the other posts about poor communication and lack of accountability. I have firsthand experience of successful cross-collaboration between teams, which wouldn't work without open and productive communication and there is most definitely accountability at every level. Again, I've witnessed C-Level execs owning issues. I've also celebrated many internal promotions of my colleagues. I suppose if you're looking to blend in and collect a paycheck, maybe this isn't the place for you. If you want to be part of a challenging, diverse, and collaborative team, where you're given the latitude to be creative and use your critical thinking skills, then this is absolutely the place for you. I came from a highly dysfunctional org prior to joining PDDS, and while no company is perfect, they really do try to attain it, which, in the end, makes them excellent in my book.

Cons

I work with all these great people, and with most of us working remotely, there aren't enough opportunities to meet in person. Other than that, there's really nothing other than the day to day challenges that you're going get with anything you do. It's called work for a reason.

Pros

Planet DDS is full of kind, talented, and motivated people who genuinely care about their work and about each other. Leadership is approachable and open to feedback. When people share ideas, you actually see them put into action, which says a lot about the culture. The company has grown in such a positive direction, with more focus on collaboration, recognition, and creating an environment where people feel supported and valued. It’s a place that trusts you to do great work, gives you the flexibility to make it happen, and lets you show up as your authentic self every day.

Cons

Like any company that’s growing fast, there are still a few areas catching up to the pace of expansion. Sometimes information lives in pockets, and communication between departments could be smoother. A bit more alignment and visibility would make things flow even better. The good thing is, leadership seems genuinely aware of this and is taking real steps to strengthen cross-team collaboration, which is great to see.

Pros

You have the ability to work from home if you live further away from one of the hubs.

Cons

Management closely monitors employees' daily activities to the point that it feels like every moment of your workday is being tracked, creating an environment that lacks trust and autonomy. Employees are frequently assigned additional roles and responsibilities without corresponding increases in pay or benefits. Those who express concerns or push back against these expectations often feel singled out, as management appears to make examples of employees who do not readily comply.
