Pros

The CEO and President's vision of a more connected and engaged world, established through the creation, strengthening, and celebration of human relationships, is not only a vision for the business, but it is being lived out and realized in the workplace here at PlanetART. The culture here promotes engagement, creativity, empowerment, and success. I have worked in different parts of the company, and the one constant is the great relationships that I have built with my co-workers and the support from leadership in the decisions that I have made. I am excited to work at a company where the vision is not merely a slogan, but a way of life.

Cons

While at any job there are expected bumps in the road, here at PlanetART the positive energy serves as great shock absorbers to smooth the ride -- dissipating any cons that might come up.

Pros

Compensation is competitive but not many other pros

Cons

The compensation helps offset some of these concerns but it does not fully make up for the overall impact of the concerns below: If work-life balance is important to you be sure to ask detailed questions during the interview process and get specific answers. In my experience the reality of the workload has been very different from what was presented during recruiting. Working late nights multiple times per week is very common and is more so an expectation than an exception. The PTO policy is also below what many companies offer. You start with being able to accrue 10 days per year. You accrue 1 more day per year until you hit 15 days with 5+ years of service. Communication from leadership is inconsistent. Information is often shared late incompletely or not at all. Management structure is another challenge. Regular communication with supervisors can be difficult to maintain. Scheduled meetings are frequently postponed or cancelled creating confusion around priorities and leaves employees without the support needed for success. Not much room for career growth. You will gain skills in your area but you will not move up the company ladder very easily.
