Pros
Very positive and self-motivated team, a great deal of autonomy with clear expectations, and plenty of opportunity to try new and interesting things. Plixer is a fairly unique company in the sense that the majority of its employees are very passionate and dedicated to the fields of technology they do business in. While this can a little daunting to the un-initiated, I've personally never had a question or concern go unanswered. Substantial resources and training are always available and water cooler discussion can be quite enlightening. Great office in downtown Kennebunk with all the creature comforts and fantastic access to local restaurants and shops.
Cons
As I stated above, Plixer isn't an average tech company. Its staff and primary customer base are extremely knowledgeable. The job could be frustrating if you’re not the kind of person who takes it upon yourself to google, hit the books, or ask questions when you encounter something you’re unsure on. That said, there is plenty of opportunity for learning and nobody is chastised.
