Pros

Spectacular product. Unparalleled in the space, this is a product and platform that is a joy to sell. What is better than helping people improve their lives through education.

Cons

The new sales leadership arrived in 2022 and first order of business was to talk about the importance of the number of emails we send and calls we make. "Metrics that Matter". There is one metric that matters in sales, and that is revenue. Consistent, high-performing salespeople were cut loose (in a layoff of 400 people) because they didn't spam their customers enough and execute a misguided strategy.

Thank you for the review and for your time at Pluralsight. I’m sorry to hear your experience with sales leadership was not ideal. While we did recently reduce our overall headcount by roughly 20 percent, the reductions were not based on the metrics you mentioned. Reductions took place across the business and only after thoroughly assessing every organization to ensure we had the right number of team members to support our growth objectives. We also evaluated org structure and geographic distribution of teams to better inform our decisions. - Will
