Pros

I couldn't be more appreciative of my direct manager at Pluralsight, he had my back at every turn. Pluralsight will attract some really genuine, smart people, and I do miss many of my peers.

Cons

I went through three comp plans and one catastrophic accounting failure that affected hundreds of sales people at Pluralsight within one calendar year. Every time I overachieved, seemingly, the comp plan changed. I never got paid commission for 10 months of over achievement and due to the accounting failure, when I departed (not by choice) the Pluralsight team took out of my base pay. I can't say enough horrible things about the leadership at Pluralsight - they fired me when I was applying for medical leave and then rejected my unemployment claims - leaving me sick, without insurance, and without any sort of income. Scoundrels hiding behind tons of corporate speak from fake nice wholesome leaders in Utah. This is probably why 75% of the sales team departed Pluralsight during the year I was there - no one could get paid and leadership simply did not care. Since I have left, there have been many, many rounds of layoffs. Seems like a sinking ship.

Pluralsight Response

Thank you for the review. I’m pleased to hear you had a good experience with your direct leader and felt supported and cared for. After looking into the particular situation you’ve referenced in your review I wanted to clarify a few things. The reason or cause for a termination impacts whether an unemployment claim is accepted. When the reason for a termination differs from what is listed in a former employee’s unemployment claim, we respond accordingly and provide necessary documentation supporting the termination decision. We did experience an accounting issue in the past that affected compensation for sales team members. We addressed this and righted the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused impacted team members. - Will
