Pros

- Flexibility on where you work from - Good work-life balance overall - Base salaries are decent compared to industry

Cons

-Extreme level of micromanagement — every email, call, and client interaction is monitored - Unrealistic targets and commission structures that make earning variable pay impossible. Commissions will probably be paid only 1 quarter for 2025… - Lack of clear strategy and vision from leadership, which trickles down into pressure on individual contributors - Heavy, repetitive admin work due to inefficient processes — instead of using existing systems, employees are asked to recompile information unnecessarily - Managers often insert themselves into client calls and communications in a way that adds pressure rather than support. -Overall environment can be anxiety-inducing and demoralizing - At an event employees were treated like students - no laptops, phones allowed, prework had to be printed (in the day and age of AI) and handed in beforehand. Employees were asked questions before being allowed to enter the event!!!

Pluralsight Response

I’m sorry to hear that your experience at Pluralsight hasn’t been positive. It has been a change-filled environment and I acknowledge that can come with frustration and confusion. We recently unveiled our new strategic priorities, and our leadership team has focused on aligning goals to those priorities in order to move the business forward. This alignment is key to our success, and there are exciting things ahead. As you know, we’re in a phase of transformation and we’re actively reviewing processes and systems to understand where we can do better. I acknowledge that this phase can feel high-pressure but we never want working here to feel demoralizing or anxiety inducing. If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please reach out to your People Business Partner or contact me directly. We’re here to support you. Regarding the event you mentioned, it was not intended to make anyone feel like students. The enablement team designed the session to help build skills and ensure you are equipped for success. Staying off phones and completing pre-work created a distraction-free environment to make the time together meaningful. Thank you for the feedback and for your contributions to Pluralsight.
