Pros
Started with the company before it merged. Lots of perks when I started that slowly rolled back as time went on. Worked a good year through the pandemic before they laid me off after almost six years with the company. Best perk was the CHEAP insurance, though it continued to go up every year. Remote work was a goal for the company before the pandemic, and they remained flexible with that throughout which was a big plus.
Cons
Prior to merger we were promised specific severances if you were laid off within a year of the merger... but conveniently my lay-off wasn't considered part of that (despite happening shortly after the merge) so I received half of what was promised. Both companies (THP and HPHC) were always high on the Globe's best company to work for in Boston list... no surprise they didn't even make the list in 2021.
