A Family-owned company that cares for the overall wellbeing of their employees. They are understanding and flexible when life happens. They also see the best in their employees, offering additional training and room to develop talents. They were patient with me and helped instill the confidence I needed to become a confident admin and bookkeeper. I had never been in the industry before; I quickly learned the ins and outs through their dedication to my success. I saw firsthand the efforts of management to create an environment where safety, quality, and community was in the forefront of all their decision making. Several times, I was blown away by the kindness of management to act solely out of the goodness of their hearts. It is more than a business, Pokrajac Corporation cares about the future of the communities they operate in. It was exciting to feel that I was a part of something larger than myself. Simple tasks didn't seem mundane when the mission of the company was very clear.

Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to stay on task. You have to be able to manage your time and communicate clearly with management. This is a very energetic company operating in 3 states.

They pay within the local range and the benefits are okay. Some of the current people who work in the office are amazing people, others not much.

No organization, no procedures, no direction, no proper record keeping. I was told not to ask questions and to sit down and be quiet more times than I can count. They are not team oriented, I got thrown under the bus weekly simply because I was the lowest man on the totem pole. I was told multiple times that I just need to pull 14 hour days and my contract states I can work up to 52 hours per week. The only reason working 52 hours would be necessary to do this job is because of the disorganization, lack of information, and the instruction not to ask questions.
