Polaris FT have provided a great learning opportunity to its employees and along with that many employee benefits as well. - The good part is they used to provide everyday snacks and food to their employees, Though it looks a silly thing to mention as a top most benefit, the reality is i have witnessed a lots of bachelors who moved to Chennai from their native have benefitted over this a lot. must mention. - The employee interest free loan policy for employees, helped to close some high interest PLs for me. - We used to get silver/gold coin every year for Diwali :) it made me feel that im treated special - They used to send unique Wedding anniversary gifts for employees.. that made the company very close to my heart. - Books - I read the best books and the suggestions came from Polaris journal and they used to gift books to the new joinees. - Compensation: I never witness my later companies like CTS or TCS raising the pay after usual appraisal cycle if the employee is not satisfied. But Polaris did it for me. They raised twice in a year for me :) - CEO Arun jain, none of the Polaris review will end without mentioning this main. If you were a polaris employee, you must have met him anywhere in the office, like lobby, lift, cafetaria and so on places.. So humble and simple man. People loves him for reason.
Cons
- Irrespective of all the good points, the one big black dot on Polaris i see is, they involve in employees food choices, they dont allow even a egg to be sold on any of their premises. :( - I remember, in my time employees used to grab a plate from cafeteria to use it for their lunch from home, and later the management noticed people are using it to eat Non-vegetarian food and later they banned/charged employees to use plates from cafeteria vendors. disgusting behavior. They sold their services part to Virtusa, unfortunately who cant maintain Polaris standards.
