Project "Coordinator" - Anonymous employee Pomeroy Technologies Employee Review

Only pertaining to my experience with one client: Lack of Formal training process ("Figure it out" mentality from mgmt). I sat w the former PM for a week, watched some e-learning videos, and then was sent to an entirely different row. The only time I was approached by Pomeroy was when there was a problem. There was no healthy banter, small-talk, etc. If I was lucky they'd stop and say goodbye at CoB. I once reported to work at 7:55AM, checked my email, walked down to the on-site bistro for breakfast, and was back to my desk before 8:15AM. I had an email in my inbox with the employee handbook attached. Stating that I was technically late. Almost like I was purposely being pushed away. I was unable to leave the office to visit site's for projects, so it was incredibly difficult to learn on the job and apply it to future projects. Blurred lines: I was brought in to replace a PM. I was given all of their responsibilities, but held the title, and the pay scale, of a "coordinator." I'm using quotations because their definition of a Project "Coordinator" is; A Project Professional that you can underpay and take advantage of by blurring the distinction between "Coordinator" and "Manager." I raised concerns about workload and my job title multiple times, and got the same shtick from management each time. They would just do their best to blur the distinction between the positions so one could mean the other and vice versa. Management does a great job of seeming like they're keeping the ship afloat, but the other associates are really the ones making all of the impact. During my Performance review, I was told, verbatim, "The Bank is paying us for Project Management, and they don't feel like they're getting it." Well my friend, that's because you hired a coordinator with limited experience and no certifications with the hope that you could just manipulate them into doing PM work for PC pay (41K). It seems like everyone at Pomeroy is either blood related, or engaged sexually. Not sure if this is a con, but it's not a pro.
