Pros

Ability to work any 8 hours between 6:00 am and 5:30 pm. Relaxed work place All of the technician jobs seem easy overall. Plenty of P.T.O. even in your first year.

Cons

Work week starts on Saturday meaning you occasionally have to work a Saturday. (Not that bad because you get to pick a day off the next week) Seems like you have to be here a LONG time to get promoted. Some technicians have no business working as any sort of technical field and drag down production for everybody. No climate control in current workspace. High turnover so always training a new face. No matching 401k.

Pros

The people are truly the best part of working at Pomeroy. I had the opportunity to work with some amazing coworkers and leaders who genuinely care about one another. The work-life balance is also a real positive, especially compared to many companies in the industry. It’s also telling that many employees have long tenure, and it’s not uncommon to see people leave and eventually come back, which says a lot about the culture and the relationships people build there.

Cons

One of the biggest frustrations is that there have been a lot of promises made over the years that never seem to materialize. A 401(k) company match has been discussed for well over four years, but it still hasn’t been implemented. Leadership has also communicated plans for company-wide merit increases, yet there hasn’t been an across-the-board increase since 2023.
