Pros

Very few. There were some perks but they were wildly inconsistent and played favorites. Was a good training ground to get a job elsewhere. To be fair, current CEO was not there when all this happened, but the company has always had an unprofessional environment and poor business practices.

Cons

Communication horrible. Tendency to take HR situations and not investigate, runs alternative agenda. So afraid of being sued they cave to pressure from employees that are not making honest claims. Doesn't keep accurate records, filthy workplace (bedbugs). Pay not competitive. Makes you sign contracts for training that you won't leave once trained because employees use Pomeroy as a training ground for a better "real" job. Unprofessional, treats clients as cash cows and does bare minimum to keep contracts. Top management draws salaries and bonuses, very disconnected from employees in general, don't participate in even half-hearted efforts to improve work relationship. Wants their managers to manage far above their level, don't support them in that effort, once manager makes a decision that doesn't align with position that upper management doesn't share. Then that manager is "managed out" of Pomeroy. Workplace is rampant with sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior, only addressed when Pomeroy thinks they could be sued, risking exposure to their rep and income.

Thank you for posting your concerns. There has been a lot of change over the past several years and that has caused challenges. We believe however, this is a new day for Pomeroy. The fact that many of our senior leaders have returned to help reinvigorate the company under a new vision is a commitment to the future. Of course, the pandemic has become an additional challenge for us to overcome but we are confident that this too will pass and that Pomeroy and its employees will emerge even stronger as a result. Thanks again for sharing your concerns. We take them seriously and encourage you to speak about them with either your manager or with Human Resources.

Pros

Pomeroy has proven a place to develop a career for those who are ambitious, value autonomy, and take initiative to make a difference.

Cons

Pomeroy is a fast paced environment and moves quickly - some may find this decisiveness and desire for change not for them.

Pros

There are no pros to list

Cons

pay is far below the national average. the company does not do raises for merit or cost of living. employees are constantly pressured to do things that are not their job and take on extra work without extra pay. training documents are missing or incomplete at best. management is inconsistent with its adherence to policy and procedure. benefits are the very barest of minimums. there is a high turnover rate because of the lack of support and respect for employees.
