Pros

The pay is okay for starting out, I started at $15 and got paid bi-weekly. My desk managers were great, my coworkers were great, a lot of them didn't have actual IT experience and just had call center work under their belt, which is fine because they all got trained up on the systems they needed to support. My desk was kinda laid back, my managers were pretty good, I butted heads a couple of times with my L2 and PL and I never had any issues with my SDM and he was super understanding. You get 2 weeks of PTO after you make it past your 3 months. I can't talk about the health options because I never made enough to buy in, I needed the money more than my health and that says something.

Cons

This is not a job you can move up in easily, they just replace management with people who have been at the company for a while and they play favorites. People who are not as experienced or have the right skills to help the other analysts will be in positions of power. You will do things outside of your job roles all the time as a favor to the management, they don't typically return the favor, you will end up doing someone else's job at some point, but that's with any job. You will never get promoted or a raise, unless they change it. I took a paycut DURING A PANDEMIC to keep my job, things were tight, then we switched to a 30 min lunch from an hour (which gives 2.5 hours of OT) which helped defer some of the pay cut, then they switched back to full hour lunches, so it was tighter. This company went through a lot in the seven months I was there: A brand switchover from Getronics, Work From Home, Loss of Desk Tools (Access to AD and systems you need to support the users for your desk), a Paycut, Management shifts in the upper half of the company, and Clients making my life harder and implementing processes that took more time and were generally above my pay grade something that the company could have done but didn't want to be bothered with. My desk supported Lotus Notes, which is super old and the documentation on Lotus Notes was good. My problem is more with Corporate than anything. They don't care about the people who make sure they can still collect a paycheck at the end of the week.

Cons

pay is far below the national average. the company does not do raises for merit or cost of living. employees are constantly pressured to do things that are not their job and take on extra work without extra pay. training documents are missing or incomplete at best. management is inconsistent with its adherence to policy and procedure. benefits are the very barest of minimums. there is a high turnover rate because of the lack of support and respect for employees.
