Pros

If you are on contract the best is the opportunity to work at a client site, where you may be appreciated enough to be seen and hired as a direct employee.

Cons

The quality of your work environment under contract will clearly be highly dependent on your immediate supervisor. They obviously will make the difference between good culture, motivated employees, and team morale. You should interview them as strongly as they interview you. Remember to separate out their desires and intents from the things they can actually control, which will be very few. I cannot recommend them for compensation, growth, benefits, or other services provided by the corporate offices. View your immediate manager as attempting to serve multiple masters, since the client will be at the top of the list, followed by the corporate office and policy, followed by your manager's intent and skills.

Pros

Pomeroy has proven a place to develop a career for those who are ambitious, value autonomy, and take initiative to make a difference.

Cons

Pomeroy is a fast paced environment and moves quickly - some may find this decisiveness and desire for change not for them.

Pros

The people are truly the best part of working at Pomeroy. I had the opportunity to work with some amazing coworkers and leaders who genuinely care about one another. The work-life balance is also a real positive, especially compared to many companies in the industry. It’s also telling that many employees have long tenure, and it’s not uncommon to see people leave and eventually come back, which says a lot about the culture and the relationships people build there.

Cons

One of the biggest frustrations is that there have been a lot of promises made over the years that never seem to materialize. A 401(k) company match has been discussed for well over four years, but it still hasn’t been implemented. Leadership has also communicated plans for company-wide merit increases, yet there hasn’t been an across-the-board increase since 2023.
