Pros

-Pomeroy is always churning through people, so opportunities there are always popping up...if you want them. The company has a talent issue, and so mediocrity tends to settle here. This is a negative but it is a positive if you have a good attitude. You will be noticed and take on extra duties that lead to promotions. -There are plenty of opportunities to move up if you apply yourself -14 days PTO in your first year -Pomeroy has promoted good senior leadership in the GSC that is trying to improve the culture of the place the best they're able -With the number of accounts in the Global Service Center (call center), there is a role/schedule for about everyone. -It's almost impossible to get fired

Cons

-Pay and benefits are below average. While the starting salary for a level 1 analyst is a bit above average, the pay for higher levels is not enough for the amount of stress you take on. Health insurance is poor and no 401k matching. All of this leads me to the next con... -Because of the subpar pay/benefits, good people tend to leave the company. The constant turnover causes staffing shortages, which causes managers to have to accept poor performance and attitudes from other employees, which causes the good employees to have to pick up the slack, which leads them getting burnt out and the cycle continues. -Another factor leading to employee burnout are the 24x7x365 staffing requirements of most accounts. While there is a shared desk for the night/weekend folks, this has had its own issues. Expect to be hassled about working weekends and holidays. Also expect to be required to get to work on time during winter storms. Also expect your schedule to change and to be told to take it or leave it. -Your experience at Pomeroy will largely depend on management and what level of stress you're willing to take on. My desk was well run and my manager did everything he could to accommodate our desk and treat everyone fairly and I hold him in high regard. I knew others on other desks who weren't as lucky. -Things are kept secret for secret's sake causing rumors to spread

Pros

Pomeroy has proven a place to develop a career for those who are ambitious, value autonomy, and take initiative to make a difference.

Cons

Pomeroy is a fast paced environment and moves quickly - some may find this decisiveness and desire for change not for them.

Pros

The people are truly the best part of working at Pomeroy. I had the opportunity to work with some amazing coworkers and leaders who genuinely care about one another. The work-life balance is also a real positive, especially compared to many companies in the industry. It’s also telling that many employees have long tenure, and it’s not uncommon to see people leave and eventually come back, which says a lot about the culture and the relationships people build there.

Cons

One of the biggest frustrations is that there have been a lot of promises made over the years that never seem to materialize. A 401(k) company match has been discussed for well over four years, but it still hasn’t been implemented. Leadership has also communicated plans for company-wide merit increases, yet there hasn’t been an across-the-board increase since 2023.
