Pros

Great Co-Workers and many great people. Great OEM relationships which make many aspects of the job easier.

Cons

Owned by a holding company. Onboarding was inadequate. Many people in management positions do not belong there. Managers have poor communication skills and often seem unprofessional during casual conversations. Most managers give the impression that they have been looked over for positions. Managers in all groups do not engage new employees with teams or staff adequately. Sales has hidden expectations and it is below them to communicate directly with other managers staff. Cooperation and trust is not fostered in the culture. Sales Engineers are only measured on utilization. Sales is not held responsible for utilizing the resources available to them - more often than not this creates a catch 22 for the technical staff. Sales staff has 0 creativity. Management was also very open about their liberal political beliefs. Just not a pleasant place to work.

Pomeroy has proven a place to develop a career for those who are ambitious, value autonomy, and take initiative to make a difference.

Cons

Pomeroy is a fast paced environment and moves quickly - some may find this decisiveness and desire for change not for them.

Cons

pay is far below the national average. the company does not do raises for merit or cost of living. employees are constantly pressured to do things that are not their job and take on extra work without extra pay. training documents are missing or incomplete at best. management is inconsistent with its adherence to policy and procedure. benefits are the very barest of minimums. there is a high turnover rate because of the lack of support and respect for employees.
