Pros

No pros - company is a terrible place to work

Cons

Pomeroy is one of those companies that thinks just because someone makes a good tech, that they will make a good manager or team lead. Which is why Pomeroy is full of lousy, hateful and nasty managers and team leads. Most managers and team leads in Pomeroy don't know what they're doing. Most of them are too spineless to question the client when the client has a complaint. And then there's HR. HR doesn't have a phone number like most HRs or else they just don't publish it. All you get is an email which they don't answer. When you start, you get NO training or some very minimal training. You get a tech from another site to train you. Most techs are clueless on how to train someone. That's probably why there is so much turnover there. If you have to support more than one site, you don't get mileage payments. There's an app where you can enter you mileage, but they don't pay it. Do yourself a favor and don't go to work at Pomeroy. Chances are you won't last 6 months.

Pros

Pomeroy has proven a place to develop a career for those who are ambitious, value autonomy, and take initiative to make a difference.

Cons

Pomeroy is a fast paced environment and moves quickly - some may find this decisiveness and desire for change not for them.

Pros

There are no pros to list

Cons

pay is far below the national average. the company does not do raises for merit or cost of living. employees are constantly pressured to do things that are not their job and take on extra work without extra pay. training documents are missing or incomplete at best. management is inconsistent with its adherence to policy and procedure. benefits are the very barest of minimums. there is a high turnover rate because of the lack of support and respect for employees.
