      There is no upside to working at Portfolia.

      Cons

      CEO is supposedly an advocate for women. However, she alienates and is incapable of retaining qualified senior female leadership in C-Suite for any meaningful tenure and her entire BOD has defected. Worth noting she never had any person of color on her board. The company’s bridge rounds and SPVs of which there are many have unusually high fees relative to market, thereby exploiting the class of investors that she is trying to “introduce” to the world of male-dominated VC investing. The company is basically a male wolf-firm in disguise.

      Pros

      From the outside, this company is incredible. Has done amazing things for women's health. The team of women leading deals is great. CEO comes across at first as dynamic and caring. The pay and benefits I was offered seemed good.

      Cons

      If you take a job here you will regret it. The needless chaos is shocking for a company that's been going as long as it has. The CEO is nice to you until you join and then you're her servant. Nothing you do will ever be good enough. All the other reviews are right about this point. She says nice things on the team calls and then treats you like crap, the the point of I felt gaslighted. The other shocking thing is the high turnover rate. People don't stay because the CEO is impossible to please or work with. Other management is a mixed bag. Some are nice, some are more like the CEO. I don't know how this company has been in business for so long.
