Pros

Great Campus', students eager to learn.

Cons

Administration could care less about the part-time faculty (which is most of the faculty). Those in my department who are/were full-time treated the part-time people like crap, like 2nd class, unworthy. First, there are NO full-time openings so if you want to teach in Higher Ed you have to settle with part-time (adjunct). Second: most of us have 'real-world' experience where as most of the 'tenured' people are ancient and probably don't even qualify for their own jobs anymore.

Pros

The people. PCC hires many wonderful, talented, well-meaning people who really care about their community. Other pros include, flexibility like being able to choose your own schedule, and trust in hired employees to do their work on their terms.

Cons

Major con is how messy the entire college seems to be. Massive lack in any semblance of effective communication. Nobody seems to know whats going on and everyone is almost always on a different page. Company structure is always changing and people are never notified in an organized or timely manner. Everyone seems spread too thin regardless of what position they are in and nobody seems to have the time to get on the same page. Layoffs seem to be commonly caused by lack of planning and communication. Onboarding was practically nonexistent and as a new employee i basically had to figure out everything on my own without any guidance.
