Pros
-flexible schedule/choose your clients /many clients -free training -pay/hr -friendly supervisors / coworkers -positive environment -Great company to start with while in school for BCBA -new policy: RBT's will get paid extra if work on holidays -sick pay 1hr for 30hrs worked. -Quertly bonus ( theoretically possible, but only if you work full time, due to client cancellations) -pay increase every year 5% ( which is about a dollar). -Overall better than a lot of companies but has room for improvement.
Cons
- My biggest gripe is with client cancellations ( most of the time i complete on average 60-70% of my hrs per month per client). I am tracking it in excel to see whether i can do this job long term. But some weeks are only 1 day work/weeks :(, happens more often than i would of liked. Hard to pay the bills. Client cancellations don't have to be emergencies or sickness in order to cancel. - I do not pay rent, groceries etc. My husband pays those bills. If i were to be on my own i would not be able to survive with such fluctuations in work weeks. I would have to go look for another job. This job only would work for someone who wants experience and or in school, or who is ok with to working between 30-60hrs/month in some months. - Holidays are not paid for RBT's (supposed to change? but its still up on the air). - No make up work is offered for client cancellations.
