Pros

decent pay/decent benefits, there are some maginficent people there The greatest testament to quality is in the shop. It is there where you will find "can do" attitude and know how. It is by far the greatest strength of this company. The people are magnificent, hard working, and a little clickish. No matter what, the y know their jobs and are held to a MUCH higher standard than the sales department.

Cons

For salesmen or estimators, or those forced to be both, there is ZERO work life balance. Questionable Ethics - Required to promote products we knew didn't work and quote field services for commissioning systems we knew would never work. Also required to promote systems that were 5 times the cost (initial investment AND maintenance) of normal systems actually made for energy monitoring. Some people will do ANYTHING for a company and some people have ethical boundries that take precedence over company loyalty. I found over time that the former stayed and the latter left. In other words, there is an overly proportionate amount of people there that are creepily, almost sinisterly loyal. These people carry on the Powell "culture".

Pros

Excellent work environment, great service, and professional treatment, The people were the best part—super collaborative and always ready to help. The company offered solid benefits, like great health insurance and a 401(k) match. Fun office events kept morale high.

Cons

I honestly can’t think of any cons; it’s a warm and welcoming place.
