Pros
The people I worked with was the best part of my job. It was a great place to start learning implementation and project management, but not a place to stay more than a year or two. I'm grateful for the experience I had, but am happy that I have moved on.
Cons
The clients (school administrators) are typically very disrespectful and do not have full expectations set up from the sales team prior to be handing off to client services, therefore neither parties have a good experience in their projects. There was not a lot of recognition from management when you were going above and beyond. The pay is at least 20% below market value and the "bonuses" and benefits are very pathetic. We were acquired by PowerSchool who is owned by Vista Equities and they definitely shook up a lot of our processes and fired a lot of employees all at once (and will continue to do so annually). After several people had left our department, management didn't hire new employees for several months leaving the current employees to take on double workloads. Once new employees were hired, training was inconsistent. These employees are being placed outside of the office location and do not feel connected to the rest of the team.
