Pros

A small core of loyal employees who protect the CEO and post positive reviews every few months.

Cons

Ask these tough questions before you work here: 1 - Do you really instruct new hires post a review on Glassdoor after 90 days? 2 - I can see on LinkedIn that people are leaving faster than being hired. Why? 3 - Why don't you have an HR department after being in business for 20 years? 4 - Why did so many sales and marketing people recently quit after only a few months? 5 - Do I really need preapproval to work from any other location than my home office? 6 - Can I really not take any vacation for 6 months? 7 - Does my camera really have to be turned on all the time I am working? 8 - Can I really not take any sick days for 3 months? 9 - Could I really be without health insurance for my first 2 months? 10 - Am I really only allowed to communicate with other employees through Powerfront supplied software? Finally - there are so many negative reviews of your CEO spanning back years all saying the same thing; that he is "Toxic". And your COO wrote in her Glassdoor review that working here "will be uncomfortable". Please explain?

Pros

I have been working at Powerfront for around 7 months now. I can honestly say that when I researched the company on Glassdoor during the interview process I was a bit nervous due to a couple of the older reviews. I am happy to say that they were not at all accurate and I am very satisfied with my current situation. I have found that my manager is very supportive and gives me direction whenever I need it. Management is also very flexible when it comes to sick leave and paid time off. I never have to fight to get the time/days I need. My manager also encourages work/life balance a lot and often tells me to not work over the weekend when I am not finished with my projects by Friday. Another really cool part of working here is the product. The software is so unique and fun. Every team member that I have worked with truly believes in the product and wants to help grow the company. The avatars are so cute and I was happy to find out when I started that you get to pick your own avatar to put into your email signature. There is a lot of opportunity for job growth and the company prides itself on you doing what you enjoy. Some employees even had roles created just for them when they expressed interest in working in other departments within the company. I can definitely see myself staying with this company for a long time. You don't have to be on camera all the time as some reviews stated. There are days with a lot of meetings, but when you are not in a meeting you are free to work off camera and concentrate.

Cons

Due to the nature of being a tech company, the work load can be hefty and unpredictable at times, but every team member I have worked with is so helpful and ready to assist that I never feel lost. I also think that all of the projects I have worked on so far have really helped me develop as a professional so none of them felt like wasted time or effort. Some meetings are outside of working hours due to the company having a global workforce but they don't occur regularly. The benefits are normal for an American company: health insurance, remote work, Paid holidays, sick leave, and 401k. The only thing that I would like to see is 401k matching, but I have been told that this is something coming in the near future.
