Pros

You can make some really good money for selling something that is mandatory in the industry. It is also a very well known name brand so that helps a lot.

Cons

It is a non-profit so anyone outside of sales works at a very slow pace and it can sometimes take a while to get simple information that you need to help sell. Most of the other departments shun the sales team unless you proactively make friends in other departments. Management is old school and would rather say "here's all the things you did wrong" vs. "here's what you could do better next time." There are clear favorites on the team and if you don't find yourself in that category than you won't be successful and deals may get taken away from you.
