Pros

At this time I really don't have any, since my boss email a lot of us telling us to put our lives on the line in bad weather.

Cons

In the last week we were in a Winter Storm Warning. In Watertown we got over 18 inches. On Sunday morning we had over 6 inches in the road in front of our home. There were no snow plows by our home until late afternoon Monday. I texted my boss and told her that because of the snow and the road conditions I wouldn't be able to make it in. And, on top of that the Watertown City Police were asking the people the people to stay off the roads. My boss lives by the lake and knows how bad the roads can get. In the email she states that we as employees should know how the weather should be and make arrangements to stay in town. I know that my boss wouldn't be going into work on this bad weather day. So I wonder why she email all of us and said we had no right to ever call in and say we cannot make it in because of weather.

Pros

Great coworkers except for the occasional normal few. Overall clean and staff seem to try the best of their ability and knowledge. A discount on your insurance if you use their doctors (if those specialties exist). Pretty good matching at 3% for retirement and it's vested immediately. Usually a discount card is offered so staff can get community discounts from local retailers.

Cons

They don't pay staff well compared to inflation and cost of living. New grads with sign on bonuses are $2-3 off seasoned nurses. You pay for your own short term disability and other perks through an outside company and that typically has a wait time to use it of a year for things like pregnancy.
