Pratt & Whitney

Part of RTX

Is this your company?

Great place to start and get trained - not great for long term advancement or for the creative, innovative engineer. - Senior Aerothermal Engineer Pratt & Whitney Employee Review

Pros

Cutting edge technology and tools for an engineer. Emphasis on fundamental physics, as long as it fits within the budget. Great place to learn the basics. Staff is either old, very experienced, and inflexible or young, some experience, and willing to toe the old gaurd line.

Cons

New ideas are not what they work with - it's the old "This is the way we do it" from standard work. Which makes technology development awkward.

Pros

Great Benefits. Competitive compensation. Recognizes hard work. Engagement events.

Cons

Too politically correct. Need straight forward feed back instead of don't want to make things awkward conversations. Big corporate obstacles to getting work done.
