Great location to work if aerospace is a passion for you - Quality Inspector Pratt & Whitney Employee Review

Pros

Working on cutting-edge aerospace engine technology, have the authority to express my concerns in quality procedures, am respected based on my knowledge of quality standards, and am not forced to do tasks you are unfamiliar with. I have a great management staff and coworkers who are easy-going and respectful. A great entry point into aerospace if that's the career path you want to take, and being in RTX allows for more advancement after gaining experience within the system.

Cons

May feel repetitive and in the long run may not see long-term career advancement without relocation to a new facility. Operations can become stressful at the end of the month as production quotas need to be met, especially in a relatively new facility where kinks are still being ironed out even though relatively new and startup vibes will still have to adhere to the 12-month policy of being in the same role before transitioning to another. Plus, for being an Inspector, you wear a bright red uniform, indicating that you are an inspector if red is not your color.

Pros

Great Benefits. Competitive compensation. Recognizes hard work. Engagement events.

Cons

Too politically correct. Need straight forward feed back instead of don't want to make things awkward conversations. Big corporate obstacles to getting work done.
