Pros

People at the working level are AMAZING! Very collaborative environment. Good work-life balance. Nice option to not have to commute to Seattle or Bellevue if you live up north. Decent benefits and fair but not "competitive" pay for the Seattle market.

Cons

A technological dinosaur. Outdated systems and years and years of technical debt that needs to be dealt with to stay competitive. Large institutional barriers between Operations and IT teams. Lots of recent layoffs which were handled poorly. Culture of change is developing into a culture of fear. Sad to see the company change due to competitive pressures and drive out core pieces of what built the culture there. Risk of losing national accounts (Starbucks, Microsoft, Aamzon) and pressure from the ACA/Individual Market is causing lots of fear and uncertainty in the market and at Premera. Expect more layoffs this year (2016).

Pros

Remote job Good pay Decent Benefits

Cons

Overbearing, toxic management who don't really care about you as a person and your health, it's all about getting those numbers, I'm guessing that is how they receive their bonuses. People on the "team" who are not nurses makes you question why they needed some that were RN's. Unclear goal, unsure what it is that this position actually does for their members. Micromanagement.
