Too many layers and cliques, too hard to get decisions made and the work done. - Manager Premera Blue Cross Employee Review

Pros

The benefits and pay are decent and the commute is pretty good for most. The workforce (people who actually do the work) is pretty friendly and the cafeteria offers healthy food choices. The campus is also quite clean and nice.

Cons

There are so many layers of management, especially at the Director and VP levels. It's impossible to get a decision made and work done. It's very 'big brother' like. There are a lot of cliques, so it's about who you know and if they like you, not what you know. Technology is also way behind the times. If you have innovative ideas, this is not the place for you. If you want to go to work and put your time in, this will be a good place to work.

Pros

Remote job Good pay Decent Benefits

Cons

Overbearing, toxic management who don't really care about you as a person and your health, it's all about getting those numbers, I'm guessing that is how they receive their bonuses. People on the "team" who are not nurses makes you question why they needed some that were RN's. Unclear goal, unsure what it is that this position actually does for their members. Micromanagement.
