Pros
Good benefits and remote work - great as I have kids
Cons
I've worked in Clinical Programs as a RN Case Manager for a few years now. The leadership in the Case Management department leaves much to be desired. As time has passed, I see leadership show clear favoritism to some whilst ignoring and never acknowledging others. The Managers and Director claim to care about an employee's well being and opinion but they truly don't. It is all lip service and numerous past and current nurses agree with me. I am am an adult and professional but management treats you less as a professional and instead micro manages and constantly criticizes you. The clear favoritism of others is plain as day. I've seen others that have been here for more than a decade, not be acknowledged despite being very strong clinically and extreme professionals. I've learned more from them than any of the managers. Leadership in this department wants you to not have an opinion. In my few years here, several of us feel very micro managed and almost treated like a child. I hear it's worse with the newest managers. When asked questions on process and procedure or respectfully challenged, they take it personally and you will never be treated the same. From what fellow nurses have seen, management here are clueless themselves and have no real understanding of the work we do. It is quantity over quality now. They just want numbers to be met. It gets worse each year I am here. I don't know how some other nurses have been here for over a decade or more.
