Pros

Benefits are okay and your coworkers make the job

Cons

Where do I begin? Working here, the pay is decent compared to other companies, but like with many large corporations, you'll feel like just another number. Orientation starts with an upbeat meeting about the mission and the impact you'll have in the field. However, within your first week, you'll quickly realize how poorly managed and disorganized the company truly is. Expect to be held over for up to 3 hours with calls labeled as "ASAP," involving drives of over an hour, only to be blamed by dispatch to the higher-ups. This company is cut-throat and will fire you at the slightest inconvenience. This place is not for the weak and goes to show how undervalued EMTs are in the field. Be warned, Human resource is not your ally, supervisors are not here to help you. This is a corporation, which means they'll likely step over you at any given notice.

Pros

Easy workload with manageable day-to-day responsibilities. Friendly and supportive coworkers who made the work environment enjoyable.

Cons

Poor management and lack of consistent leadership. Favoritism impacted fairness and employee morale. Some coworkers were unprofessional and created a less genuine workplace culture. Recognition often prioritized basic expectations (such as perfect attendance) over outstanding performance, initiative, or work ethic. Limited opportunities for career growth and advancement. Strict attendance policies made it difficult to account for unexpected circumstances. PTO accrual was limited compared to the company's expectations of employees.
