Pros
Rather flexible schedule if you're in school. You can pick-up shifts or giveaway shifts to co-workers. My experience most of the time has been approval for these requests.
Cons
-It is in the policy that they can give you another call an hour after your scheduled shift time is up. Example: end of shift (EOS) is 4pm. Yet, the give you another call at 3:59pm. Now your 10 hour shift ends up being 12-13 hours. They are notorious for doing this. -Uniforms are class A's (what police wear) which feels hot and restricts necessary body mechanics for the job ( specifically the pants) -Even on hot days, if you have tattoos good luck. They require ALL tattoos to be covered and will get punished if you are caught with no arm sleeves. Ridiculous considering the heat some days. -Kevorkian-For the past couple months they started giving lunches at hour 2, which is great to have a lunch. However, if you're working an 8 hour+, it doesn't make much sense.
