Pros

Employees very appreciative of on site health clinics and those who staff these clinics. Satisfying work for medical staff. Small teams in the clinics No on call schedule for clinical staff. Good support through the company for medical staff via updates on current medical issues, regular clinical meetings etc. Fair market salaries and good benefits that included 401K employer contribution. Nice employee orientation and warm welcome to the company with management team.

Cons

-Premise Health is the rebranding of the merger between Comprehensive Health Services and Take Care Health. Premise Health provides onsite health clinics to corporate clients (Reviews of both companies prior to this rebranding are worth the read for anyone considering a job with this company) This rebranding with the merger has been an interesting project as the focus seems to be on the upgrade of clinic facilities, technology and recruitment of new staff to create this new rebranding product for corporate clients. -Management seems to be focused on their own success within this newly rebranded company with secondary consideration to the staff at the onsite level . Remote management via e-mail or phone has so many limitations. There are very strict expectations about onsite staff communicating directly with corporate clients which creates a bit of chain of command nightmare. Everything must go through the manager for approval. _After a warm welcome & orientation with management, immersion into the job began. Layers of information about the real job began to surface which were not honestly disclosed by management during the hiring process. *Staffing of clinics is minimal which apparently is a cost cutting measure for the company and clients.. Although all staff is quite willing to work hard, many roles required for the current staff were not accurately disclosed during hiring process. Management didn't seem to really understand the client specific needs during the transition to new staffing which resulted in the need to add on roles that management didn't have on their radar. * Virtually no training for the specific duties of newly hired staff with experienced staff. *The sobering discovery that the previous employees who had been with the company for many years had undergone a mass termination not of their own choice. Management skillfully twisted this fact to say these previous employees were "exploring new job opportunities" without owning their part in separation with long time employees. Without truthful and transparent disclosure of this fact, it's been up to the new staff to answer employee inquiries about what happened to the old staff whom they were very bonded with. While this sort of restructuring certainly isn't unusual with corporate mergers, it certainly doesn't bode well for trust with management or a sense of job security with this newly rebranded company! - As a medical contract company for corporate clients, the client is always right even when they aren't. The bottom line is about client satisfaction. Many employees won't have a problem with this, but it does create frustration in a business that deals in the healthcare needs of employees when the clients, who are not medically trained, get into the mix of healthcare issues.

Pros

Great company to work for with strong leadership support and a team culture that genuinely cares about employee wellbeing and growth. Premise invests in continuing education, development opportunities, and provides great resources for both professional and personal health. I’ve especially appreciated the focus on whole-person wellness through programs like Sonic Boom, which makes healthy habits fun, engaging, and community-driven. Leadership is approachable, supportive, and encourages innovation and collaboration across teams.

Cons

As a large healthcare organization, some systems and processes can feel a bit outdated, especially with how quickly technology and the fitness industry evolve. That said, because Premise is a healthcare company, everything has to go through extensive vetting for compliance and safety, which is understandable. There are also a lot of policies and standardized procedures that don’t always perfectly translate to the fitness side of operations since many are built more around healthcare models. The environment can be stricter at times, but leadership is generally open-minded, willing to listen to feedback, and continues to evolve as the fitness and wellness division grows.
