Pros
Prenda people really do live the company values and deeply care about our mission to empower learners. I love the work we are doing to create a great educational experience for kids and to provide meaningful work to all our adult guides. My co-workers are wonderful - they stretch me, inspire me, and are fun to be around. The fully remote team works hard to stay connected personally, and the flexibility offered makes this the ideal place for me; I get to do work I love but still be there for my family.
Cons
Prenda is growing really quickly, so there is lots of work to do, plenty of ambiguity, and all that comes with that. Leadership is trying to make it a great place to work, but there are plenty of areas needing help - communication between teams can be tough sometimes (lots going on and not a clear structure for how to loop people in), we can't hire fast enough so current team members have tons on their plate, and we can't always respond quickly enough to our customers. But to be fair, I'm happy to accept the "cons" as that is what you get when there is lots of growth and lots to do.
