A better Understanding of employee recognition. The HR process should tighten up upon termination process and abide by handbook. When a 60 hour work week goes to 40-45, this is not a performance failure. Or deem Termination. A discussion should take place with mgr and HR, to review all points that should be considered. Overall Recognition of employees performance as a whole, prior to reprimanding and fire, promotion, anniversary dates. Some of the Upper Mgmt. team (select few) that most a scared to ruffle need to really take a step back & see the efforts many of the employee(s) dedicate in order to succeed. That many truly value their job 100%. Make it clear, is there Rehire consideration clause? I'm Unsure. Reevaluate who decides on that (final decision) before stamping the letter to the employee that dedicated it all to the success of their team. Should Not be only the sole mgrs discretion, esp if the team feels a huge shock after learning if the decision. Some wish they had the guys to go over some heads, rectify and bring light to those unaware if what is taking place day to day.
