Pros
Price Industries is split into many different business units. Working in one business unit vs another is almost like working at another company, so I can only speak for the business unit I work in. The business unit I work in provides a great working environment! My manager and colleagues are very professional, it's a low stress environment. We are allowed to work up to 2 days a week remotely, get paid sick leave, a flexible work schedule, get good health benefits, and an average salary. Price Industries must be one of the best companies to work for in Winnipeg.
Cons
I wish the salary was a bit more competitive. However, since the working environment is much more important, an average salary doesn't bother me. Because the company and business units are quite large, your team doesn't feel like a family. People come and go and it doesn't seem to bother most of my colleagues. As a mechanical engineer, I also wish that my work would involve more moving parts but a lot of my designs are about structural sheet metal assemblies. It gets boring sometimes. However, if you are a mechanical engineer thinking about joining price, don't hesitate, it's a great company and you won't be disappointed.
