- as a new member of tech team th se are what I noticed in tech org
- lots of long term employees whose knowledge has been stuck in past and they coast and are insecure with their tech knowledge compared to new hires.
- employees who have stayed longer are in the habit of taking credits for others work
- can’t really grow in tech as people who are in higher roles are bad engineers
- tech practices in this company is lacking (what other companies have done 10-12 years ago is done at this place and long term employees act amazed. Its so laughable. Any recent employees have noticed that)
-tech division seem to be split on longer tenured employees doing bare minium with bad practices and newer hires who do work but longer tenured employees jump to take credit
- everything is controlled by very people in CT
- bringing these to your LT doesn’t change much either. You can clearly notice the old guards not liking new hires as new hires are way more competent and old guards get insecure about their lack of tech skills
- while I am not Mumbai employee I noticed long term employees treat them badly (they don’t like the fact that compnay is going global) but management doesn’t do anything to fix this
- people are packed like sardines in nyc office. Not enough space or rooms for meeting
