Pros
The owners are wonderful! They are caring and generous to their employees and always open to hear the team's ideas on how to improve the business. Hard work and results are greatly appreciated, and often rewarded, which really contributes to the moral. I enjoyed working in a smaller office (although I do hope it is growing for the owners!) and my coworkers and I made a great team. It was fun to learn about different companies in the area and getting to know each client. You'll also get to know your employees on a more personal basis and help them reach their professional goals. PrideStaff is an awesome company as a whole. They have on-going training and accessible resources for employees, as well as yearly conferences to provide inspiration and new ideas to incorporate into your routine. The corporate office is fantastic and always willing to help and support each office. This was my first office job and I gained a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge. I am so thankful for the owners, and that they saw potential and gave me an opportunity to progress and learn the industry. Overall, I had an amazing experience working here.
Cons
This industry can be stressful and relies heavily on the employment rate of the area you are working. This just means you have to be innovative with your recruiting techniques and build long-lasting relationships with clients and employees. This is more a challenge than a Con, and just a part of Staffing. You are required and expected to deal with difficult situations and behaviors when they arise. I understand this can cause some fear and some employees may be reluctant to do so. On the other hand, one of the greatest take-aways I have is learning how to work through these potential problems in a professional manner. This industry is all about working with different people, backgrounds, and behaviors and it's an essential life skill.
